On August 4th, 2024, PT KB Finansia Multi Finance also known as the "Kreditplus" brand, planted 5,654 mangrove seedlings in the Mangrove ecotourism area, Lantebung, Makassar. The 5,654 mangrove seedlings were the result of the conversion of 11,308 km accumulated distance covered by participants running during the Fun Run event, a celebration of Kreditplus' 30th anniversary which was held on June 9, 2024.
This activity was attended by Mr. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas ST, M.Sc, IPU as Head of the Marine and Fisheries Service of South Sulawesi Province; Mrs. Suriati as Head of Fisheries, Makassar City Fisheries and Agriculture Office; Mr. Bondan Kusuma as Deputy Director of Strategic Management Services and Regional Conditions of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regional Office 6; Mr. Indra Natsir Dahlan as Senior Analyst Deputy Director of Supervision of Financial Services Business Activities, Consumer Education and Protection, OJK; and Mr. Permana Yudiarso as Head of the Makassar Coastal and Marine Resources Management Center / BPSPL.
Kreditplus collaborated with the Indonesian Marine Conservation Foundation (YKL), a competent non-governmental organization in Makassar, to organize this event. Moreover, communities who care about mangrove preservation as well as employees of Kreditplus Makassar, Sudiang, and Gowa branches, also participated in this environmental initiative. Previously, Kreditplus had collaborated with YKL in the last 2 years to plant mangrove seedlings in the Makassar area. A total of 4,000 mangrove seedlings have been successfully planted.
This activity was carried out as a form of Kreditplus' contribution to environmental preservation efforts as well as a form of support for the implementation of government programs (especially the Financial Services Authority) in the context of implementing sustainability performance in the financial services sector.
Kreditplus would like to express gratitude for the excellent collaboration with the Makassar City Government, the Environmental Sustainability Foundation, and other parties, who supported and permitted Kreditplus to conduct this activity. Kreditplus hopes that through this activity, the entire community can realize that responsibility for environmental sustainability is a shared responsibility for the sustainability of the ecosystem in the environment.
